15th August 2018 – Siobhán Duffy, Executive Director of Innovation at Element Six has been named in the 2018 Cranfield School of Management 100 Women to Watch list. The list forms part of Cranfield’s Female FTSE Board Report 2018 and recognises the UK’s top female business leaders, in association with Aviva and the Government Equalities Office.
The list, which has been published annually for the last nine years, aims to highlight the lack of progress in improving gender diversity at the highest executive levels of FTSE 350 companies. Despite an improvement in female representation in non-executive board positions, the report identifies the lack of women in executive roles at the UK’s leading companies.
Siobhán Duffy commented, “To be recognised by the Cranfield School of Management is extremely humbling, and I have to thank everyone I have worked with at Element Six, who has helped me every step of the way. Element Six is at the forefront of scientific innovation and I’m grateful to be part of an organisation that is pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

In September 2017, the De Beers Group of Companies entered into a three-year partnership with UN Women to accelerate the advancement of women across its organisation. As part of the partnership, De Beers made the commitment to achieve gender parity in the appointment of women and men into senior leadership by 2020.
Siobhán Duffy was appointed to Executive Director of Innovation in July 2014, in addition to holding a series of senior management positions at Element Six, including Head of the Oil & Gas business unit and Business Manager for the Element Six Precision Grinding and Micron Unit.
