Since 1989, Element Six (E6) has pioneered industrial CVD diamond synthesis technology for applications across optics, semiconductors and sensing. Seki Diamond Systems (SDS), a unit of Cornes Technologies Limited, has been the leading supplier of diamond synthesis equipment to the scientific community since 1992.
Today E6 and SDS are proud to introduce the SDS-E600, an advanced compact 2.45 GHz microwave plasma CVD diamond reactor
This new CVD system, incorporating proprietary technology, will offer the research and development community unique capabilities for a microwave plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) platform to grow high-quality diamond materials.Leveraging its patented technology, E6 has already been a trusted supplier of the world’s highest quality diamond materials for decades. Now, SDS-E600 integrates, for the first time, E6’s know-how into SDS’ proven 2.45 GHz platform. The platform is already widely supported, and extensively adopted by labs around the world. SDS-E600 offers international R&D customers to the opportunity to grow bespoke diamond materials that will suit every customized need.
Accelerating R&D and commercialization of new diamond materials
According to Dr Daniel Twitchen, Chief Technologist at E6: “Seki Diamond System’s long and proven history to support diamond material R&D customers with system capability is unprecedented within the industry. We’re optimistic this collaboration will be a force multiplier to accelerate the adoption of both SDS platforms as well as support the development of new diamond applications.”
Makoto Seki, Senior Managing Director at Cornes Technologies Limited in charge of Seki Diamond Systems, shared: “It is our privilege to be working with Element Six. Our initial prototypes have demonstrated E6’s technology can be integrated successfully onto our platform. We’re confident this collaboration will provide our academic customers with yet another Seki Diamond platform to accelerate their diamond material R&D initiatives, leveraging unparalleled technology.”
Orders for the SDS-E600 will begin in January 2025, and shipments are scheduled to begin in June 2025.
